This musically refined circuit is paired with an output stage based n the fully balanced Line Stage Gain Modules found in Constellation’s award-winning line stage preamplifiers, using hand-matched transistors selected for their outstanding, ultra-low-noise performance.
The Power Supply
Our Switch- Mode Power Supply (SMPS) is over 20 dB quieter than a typical linear power supply. It delivers consistent, perfect DS power no matter what the supply voltage, ensuring uncompromised retrieval of even the most minute sonic details. Encased in a separate chassis with thick, machined aluminum slabs, the power supply thus cannot interfere with the sensitive phono preamplifier circuits.
Precision and Flexibility
The Revelation 2 Phono Preamplifier makes it easy to experiment with a wide variety of cartridges in the quest for the best sound. Load settings for the moving-coil inputs are calibrated in ultra-precise 1-ohm steps, from 5 70 1,000 ohms. Settings for each channel and each MC input can be stored independently. For moving-magnet cartridges, load impedance may be set to 10, 33, or 47 kilohms, and load capacitance to 0, 100, or 200 picofarads. XLR and RCA inputs are provided for MC and MM cartridges.
